the staff were super friendly and helpful, we had a great time. our room was clean and cozy, and the bed was much better on our second stay. loved that there was plenty of parking and despite being near the A1, it was really quiet. the food was decent pub grub, nothing fancy but hit the spot. definitely a good place to stop by!

I enjoyed my stay at Bowes. The staff were really friendly and attentive, making me feel genuinely welcomed. The food was a highlight, especially the breakfast – generous portions that kept me satisfied for hours. The room was clean and well-maintained, offering a cozy space to relax. I encountered a few issues. The heating in my room felt inconsistent. it turned off earlier than expected, which made it cold, especially during a chilly night. getting to the hotel was a bit tricky. A better signpost or clearer directions would really help. Parking was ample, though, which was a plus.

Awesome stay, great food!
We had a nice 2-night stay with comfy rooms and helpful staff. Food was a highlight. really enjoyed the steak pie. The bar had good drink options too. Only thing was the noise from outside sometimes, but it didn’t ruin it for us. Great staff and breakfast, would recommend it!

Hotel's pristine rooms are a lovely surprise! The beer garden is simply delightful, even if the rain tried to spoil the fun. Absolutely must try the restaurant—those portions are a feast, not a snack!
Oh dear, my lumpy bottom may never recover from the couch-like bed! And don't even get me started on my inability to finish my meal—it was a workout in itself!

The Bowes provided a fantastic stay with remarkable dining options, particularly enjoying the hearty breakfast that included fresh pastries and a range of quality beverages. The room was modern and well-refurbished, making it a comfortable and productive environment for work. I particularly appreciated the free wi-fi and 24-hour reception, which facilitated seamless coordination for my business needs.
The lack of a lounge area made it difficult to relax after long work hours.
